1. Who we are
ReferLink (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the ReferLink platform, a referral marketplace that connects contractors with referrers. If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@referlink.co.
2. Information we collect
Account information — When you register, we collect your name, email address, and role (referrer or contractor). Contractors may also provide a company name, phone number, business address, bio, and service areas.
Referral information — When a referrer submits a referral, we collect the customer's name, phone number, email address (optional), location, and service notes. This information is shared with the contractor receiving the referral.
Invite information — When you invite someone to join ReferLink, we store their name and email address to send the invitation and track whether they joined.
Payout information — When you request a payout, we collect the information needed to fulfill it (e.g., gift card delivery address).
Usage data — We collect standard server logs including IP addresses, browser type, and pages visited to operate and improve the platform.
3. How we use your information
- To create and manage your account
- To facilitate referrals between referrers and contractors
- To send transactional emails (invite notifications, referral alerts, payout confirmations) via Resend
- To process reward credits and payouts
- To display public contractor profiles and campaigns
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
- To respond to your support requests
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. How we share your information
With contractors you refer to — When you submit a referral, the contractor receives the customer's name, phone, email, location, and your notes.
With referrers who refer to you — Contractors can see the referrer's name and contact details associated with a referral.
Service providers — We use Supabase (database and authentication, hosted in the United States) and Resend (transactional email). These providers process data only as needed to operate the platform.
Legal requirements — We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights and safety of ReferLink and its users.
5. Public contractor profiles
Contractor profiles — including name, company name, bio, service areas, active campaigns, and reviews — are visible to the public without requiring a login. If you are a contractor and wish to limit what is displayed, you can update your profile in Settings or contact us to deactivate your account.
6. Data retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Referral records, wallet transactions, and payout history are retained for a minimum of five years for financial record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your account by contacting support@referlink.co. Note that some data may be retained in anonymized form or as required by law.
7. Cookies and local storage
We use cookies and local storage solely to maintain your authenticated session. We do not use tracking cookies or third-party advertising cookies.
8. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Receive a copy of your data in a portable format

9. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), row-level security on our database, and secure authentication. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
ReferLink is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it promptly.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of material changes. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
